Annual Meeting 2024 – Moving Forward Together

On May 12, 2025, Help in Change held its annual meeting – both in person and digitally – to close a meaningful year of activity and shape the direction for the future.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all members who participated and to everyone who has supported our mission throughout 2024. Together, we’ve continued to build on our vision: to strengthen and support Ukrainians in Sweden through community, advocacy, and concrete action.

‍During the meeting:

• The activity report was presented by Ekaterina Pchelnikova, highlighting the Ukraine Rise Together project and the work completed in early 2024.
  
  
• Mariya Verbitskaya presented the Okuvliga/Nezlamni book project and its results.
  
  
• Ihor Harkusha shared updates on our sports activities and newly established partnerships.
  
  
• Ekaterina Pchelnikova, Ira Sjölund, and Anna Danemar presented our work in advocacy and public engagement.
  
  

Ekaterina Pchelnikova also gave a financial report. It was noted that a final version will be submitted in August and that the organization is currently seeking a new auditor.

The meeting unanimously agreed to discharge the 2024 board of responsibility, and we want to sincerely thank the outgoing board for their dedication, time, and contributions. Your work has laid a strong foundation for what’s to come.

We look forward to continuing our mission: supporting Ukrainians in Sweden as they rebuild their lives and communities.

The meeting also unanimously approved a motion to revise the organization's statutes to better reflect our current activities and long-term vision. A new nomination committee was not appointed during the meeting and will be addressed in the upcoming bylaw revision.

Membership Fee 2025

The membership fee for 2025 remains:

• 250 SEK for the general public
  
  

50 SEK for Ukrainians in Sweden under the Temporary Protection Directive (Massflyktsdirektivet)
